THE BRINGING BABY HOME (BBH) WORKSHOPHaving a baby can bring excitement and joy, rewarding experiences, and the opportunity to grow as a person yourself as you become a parent. It can also bring stress, physical and emotional challenges, and put strain on your relationship with your partner. Research shows that two-thirds of couples experience a significant reduction in marital satisfaction and a significant increase in conflict after the birth of their baby. Mood issues including postpartum depression are also a risk as increased stress, body changes, reduced sleep and self-care impact new parents. The Bringing Baby Home Program helps buffer against these possible outcomes.
The Bringing Baby Home (BBH) workshop is a research-based and research-tested psychoeducational workshop that is dedicated to improving the quality of life for babies and children by strengthening their families. Developed by renowned relationship and parenting experts, Drs. John and Julie Gottman. The BBH program is perfect for those who are:

The goal of BBH is to equip you with the knowledge and skill sets needed to constructively cope with the various changes that typically occur during the first three years after your baby is born.

FEES
Cost: $600 per couple, includes workbook, materials and snacks. This is 12 hours of education per person. (Often receipts can be written for coverage through extended benefits). Some sliding scale spots may be available. Please call if cost is a concern. |
CANCELLATION POLICY
If you need to cancel 21 days or more before the workshop start date, the fee you paid minus a $50 processing fee will be refunded to you. If however, you need to cancel within 21 days before the workshop start date, you will instead receive a credit to be applied to a future workshop within the next year. |
