Reproductive & Perinatal Mental Health Counselling
We specialize in perinatal and reproductive mental health counselling for people navigating fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, pregnancy loss, and reproductive life transitions.
Our Registered Clinical Counsellors provide support for fertility concerns and treatment, including IUI and IVF, pregnancy planning, anxiety and depression during pregnancy, postpartum depression and anxiety, miscarriage and pregnancy loss, traumatic birth, termination, adoption, PMS, PMDD, perimenopause, and menopause.
We also work with dads, partners, and non-birthing parents through the emotional, relationship, and identity changes that can come with pregnancy and parenthood.
When You May Want Support
You do not need to wait until things feel severe to ask for support. Many people come to counselling proactively to support their well-being. You may want to reach out if you are experiencing:
- persistent sadness, irritability, or feeling overwhelmed
- anxiety, panic, or intrusive thoughts
- changes in sleep or appetite
- difficulty bonding with your baby
- guilt, hopelessness, or feeling out of control
- trouble concentrating or making decisions
- loss of interest in things you usually enjoy
- relationship strain or difficulty adjusting to changes in identity or family life
- distress related to fertility treatment, pregnancy loss, birth trauma, or reproductive health changes
How We Work
Counselling is tailored to your individual needs. Depending on what brings you in, we may focus on emotional regulation, coping strategies, relationships, attachment, identity changes, grief, self-care, sleep, or adjustment to major life transitions.
Our Registered Clinical Counsellors have specialized training and clinical experience in reproductive and perinatal mental health, including work and training through BC’s provincial Reproductive Mental Health Program.
We offer in-person counselling in Vancouver and virtual counselling throughout British Columbia.
